Brian Lumley dismissed her as fiction, a personification of the reproductive principle of the Great Old Ones. He also dismissed Azathoth (the Big Bang) and Nyarlathotep (a disguise or mask worn by any of the Great Old Ones when psychically manifesting to worshippers or victims).
